I have always subscribed to the theory that every life has its own unique soundtrack.
A recent trip to Brighton brought back fond, bittersweet memories of San Francisco. These songs are the soundtrack to a part of my life as it was then. It tells a story. A story with a beginning, a middle, and an end. At the time, it felt as if it was the entire story - when in fact it was but a chapter.

Looks like we were listening to alot of the same music at one point in our lives! Joan Armatrading takes me back!
(I live close to SF).
It must be the fog and the foghorns.
ok, you need to put a music box on your blog. Go so Sophie Honeysuckle on blogspot and check out her music box and get the format. I think we ALL should do it. I'm totally addicted to her music box and keep it on in my backgroup and just listen to it for hours. I'd listen to your list of music too, we must be about the same age from the sounds of it.
Thanks for your comment, btw. Can you believe that house? Jeez!!! Someone needs to shoot that designer. haha
JOni
Why shoot 'em - those pictures hung 'em! LOL
Thanks for the tip.
Gosh... we must all be the same age. Great songs!
Yep - timeless!
I love the Libertango song as well. You must enjoy the Hotel Costes, Cafe Del Mar/Budha Bar series as I do. I have to track down the Diva soundtrack, though...so far that wasn't on my radar!
Have and love them - esp. Cafe del Mar.
Great posting and linking to all these fantastic classics. I am listening to my favorite in the background right now as I write this comment: Good Morning Heartache.
