Isabella Blow
What was meant to be a fresh beginning for a troubled soul ended up being a last testament. After Isabella Blow's sad end, Detmar Blow sold up and moved on. People do.
The former Eaton Square flat of Isabella and Detmar Blow as it appears in the March 2009 issue of The World of Interiors. 
A Steven Meisel photograph of Isabella Blow sits on a marble console table.
In the hallway, suspended from perspex hooks, hang some of Isabella Blow's many hats. The cut-out paper portrait of the Duchess of Windsor is by Simon Periton.
The drawing room contained two of her favourite heirlooms from her paternal grandmother Vera Delves Broughton - the chandelier and the Italian centre table.
Next to a period Gustavian sofa a mirrored side table props up the Disc Hat by Philip Treacy.

a few weeks ago, which has a three-page spread of her flat, but nothing so comprehensive. amazing.

pp - a straight man - absolutely. And, money would not have been an issue.
The fashion industry is one of the rare few industries where being a straight man is seen as a 'handicap' of sorts and makes one 'second class'. My thoughts anyway...
I think Ms. Blow lacked business acumen and had a depressive streak. Those were what led to her sad end.
