these table lamps (and hanging lamp) are complimentary to the above stacked series- whereas those are solid and built upon the idea of cross-sections, these are constructed with only their contours delineated, leaving an open interior.

Did you see that piece in the Guardian about the man in Cardiff who paints with light. He sets the camera on a long exposure - up to an hour - and then draws pictures with little maglights.
