I saw this before - it's so true! sososo true!
CdT - especially when applied to the current state of affairs. Let's all just move on shall we.
Ah yes, he is soooo right.
The last time I flew out of Gatwick, my flight was cancelled. You would have thought the world had ended. I have never witnessed so much shamefully spoiled behaviour in human beings...most of whom, I am sorry to say, were American. I was just embarrassed for the entire human race. The way I looked at it... I got an extra day in London.
And do you remember television without remote controls? One actually had to get up and walk across the room to change the channel!! The horror!
PT&E - a friend had his bags delayed (it was during the summer of the crazies wanting to blow the planes out of the sky) for five days. He allowed that to ruin his entire holiday. I was stunned by his lack of fortitude.
C'mon, what's so funny about a phone with a dial? And a cord? That's what I have, and it's better than the silly cellphone I used to have, because it's pretty hard to lose something attached to the wall. And, sure, when I run out of the money that I got by standing in line at the bank, the fun is over until I go back to get some more, but that's better, too, because I don't spend as much this way. It's just too much hassle. Of course, getting rid of my car helped, too, since I don't go shopping anymore.
And if you don't like cranky, impatient people, here's my advice: stay the hell away from airports. Those places seem to attract that type. The train goes to NY in just over 24 hours & there's plenty of room to get up & walk around. And no, you can't go everywhere on the train, but then then, I don't have time to be going everywhere anyway, ya know? This is all just common sense. Or what used to be common. These days, it's enough to get you on TV.
OK, I admit it: this guy is kinda funny. Of course, I have no idea who he is, since I don't even own a TV. Conan, though, I've heard of.
