Great interview with a classic American designer. Thanks for posting it.

I love Bilhuber! I'm hungover...I can't think of anything more interesting to say.
Smart and elegant. A quarter of an hour well spent. Thanks for sharing.
Warm regards,
Simone
well spoken
This so called designer is a fool. He is nothing more than an overblown stylist, like Tom Ford. I expect more from you Mr. HOBAC!
Now, now, Benjamin let's not get our knickers in a twist. You might do yourself a mischief. As I am not entirely conversant with the length and breadth of Mr Bilhuber's work you may very well be right. However, I do find some of the images and theories presented worthy of note. Namely, I like how he uses antiques, the bedroom I thought was particularly good. And, I also rather admire his use of negative space, something I have as yet to master.
Expect nothing. That way, one is far less likely to be disappointed. Think of this as a tray of canapés, take from it what strikes your fancy and simply ignore the rest.
Well said my wise friend!
