oooohhh, good post.
I just don't know if I can watch Precious. All of the reviews include the words "unimaginable cruelty" and "monster of a mother."
But that is one of the best movie posters I've seen in a long time.

Did you read the article about the director in the NYT Magazine? Kind of damning when the write indicated that the director approached Andre Leon Talley to play himself in a fantasy sequence about Precious as a model on a shoot. When he saw a photo of his potential co-star he passed on the opportunity.

I did, and what an article! I was disappointed in ATL's choice not to participate. After all, big girls need to stick together.
