Motif operandi

Two of the three uprights carved as the head and neck of a swan.



A 16th Century Iron Box.
The lid having a decoratively scrolling swan neck handle beside the lock & key, opening to reveal an engraved lock mechanism. The sides ornamented with raised quatrefoils centred with knops above shaped aprons forming the feet. 6½ ins.



A carved giltwood mirror in George II style, late 19th century.
The swan neck pediment with a central cartouche, 44½ ins. high.



A pair of French Empire swans neck chairs, c.1810.
