What would you say

If I told you there was nothing wrong in the picture, and that I just wanted to create a setting to use Chris Isaak's Baby Did a Bad Bad Thing?

This time, that's not the case. It was the flowers. While a nice combination, the scale is all wrong for the vase and the arrangement is stiff. I point this out not just as a decorator but as a decorator who worked for nearly five years as a florist.

M - if that don't knock the gay spots outta that Judy Garland picture, nothing will.

Well done Mamacita, you nailed it!
Naturally, I thought the same but failed to say so..!

R - and you get honourable mention for the humour.

I hang my head in shame, locks tumbling, mingling with my silent tears, and slink quietly out of the room.

HOBAC - what causes the coloration of the grospoint? Intentional? Fading? Wear?

HOBAC said...

Mrs B - have always thought it was fading of different dye batches. Sometimes there is a colour change simply because they ran out of that batch.

Agreed

Well, that's a great relief. I thought the room just fine, save for the towering arrangement, but thought better of saying it since Hobac once, if I recall accurately, expressed a fondness for towering floral statements!

TW - Ah yes, the Givenchy Eremurus as I recall. I think the room fine too, if a little staid. But I'm sure in is perfect for its chatelaine.

I thought for sure it was going to be something about the furniture placement.....but now I can't stop staring at the flowers.

Mr B - the elephant in the room?

HBC,

Wonderfully done. I for one enjoyed the game from the sidelines. Informative, enjoyable with just the right touch of suspense.
