I remember laughing at another decorator once

Once in particular, that is, for asking for chamomile tea after dinner. Far too fey for our company. I asked him what on earth would be next, knitted cushion covers? While one adores the personal touch, one also abhors the loving hands of home.

There is indeed a vast difference between artisanal and craft. Just a little something to bear in mind. The wrong crafted accessoire can take one from High Society to The Country Girl faster than one can say Etsy.

You are so, so right. There is a wide gap between art and craft, and in that gap lie many hideous gifts. I have one friend, in particular, who is guilty of not knowing the difference, bless her heart.

Hey! Did you mean ETSY? Or is Esty some decorator thing I have no idea about (like most design terms)? If you meant Etsy: how dare you! ;) I love Etsy. Seriously, I am so obsessed with it. I can't get enough. I think there are tons of talented people on there but you're right - beware the crappy crafter. They lurk everywhere (even my beloved Etsy, I agree)! Eeeeeeee!

LCF - Sorry, but I wasn't at the christening;-} I indeed did mean Etsy. The crappy crafter - I love that.

mamacita - I don't know if I have I ever said, but I do think this is one of the coolest of monikers?
Bless them indeed.
