There are times I loathe London

And, there are times I simply love it. This is one of those times.

I often pass C. John and marvel at their magnificent rugs. And I do mean magnificent. Unlike most of the other establishments dealing at this level, the goods on offer at C. John posses a certain charm.

This beauty made my heart sing. It is one of the most beautiful rugs I have ever seen.

Completely enchanting rug. I can see the entire room in my head.

How can you ever loathe London? I realize I'm only ever there on holiday, and that may make some difference. But, still.

It's the meds. Kidding aside, London, or as a friend of mine likes to call it "Moscow with Tokyo prices", can be very frustrating. At this point Tokyo prices would be a welcomed relief.

fairfax - can you believe it?

Yes well, imagine those prices with a wallet full of my poor, sad, anemic dollars.

I just got back from Milan and I am sure it is more expensive there than London....20 Euros for a coffee in my Hotel Room...YIKES!
BTW the carpet is magnificent - needlepoint?

Patricia - that is outrageous. Hope you didn't pay it.

That rug is simply stunning!! I'll be in London over Christmas and I'm already trying to figure out what to pack. That stupid one carry-on bag rule at Gatwick(including a handbag!) drives me crazy.
