I had the great pleasure of meeting CB once, years ago, and found her personality to be as effervescent as her patterns. She is a national treasure, no?

I agree, the 'little animals' in that chartreuse green colourway is magic.

It makes my day worth while when I can wake up in the morning and read the word 'effervescent'. It means civilised conversation is still out there - it may be hanging on by its beautifully manicured fingernails - but it's still out there, and to have met Celia as well!! I think I'll go and have a lie down now, it's all too much.

PD - the collection has the loveliest clear colourways.

FF - too funny. I once did that on a first date, oh the shame. Note, never see La Strada on a date - it will end in shame.

JH - welcome to the natural wonder that is An Aesthete's Lament - there is none more fascinating or knowledgeable.

AL - CB is far too overlooked and the last of her kind. Though, with her new work in fashion she is reaching a new generation and a wider audience. Hopefully they will absorb some of her aesthetic if nothing else.
