REFLECTIONS IN A GOLDEN EYE

It looks like a rainy weekend ahead. I haven't seen this in years. Maybe I will have a Taylor movie filled Sunday.

I have to say -- just, Wow. That looks ... actually it looks screamingly awful. Is it? Does it have camp appeal? What is the appeal, exactly?

mamacita - it is melodrama on steroids. Toe-curlingly outrageous and shockingly dark. Pure Southern gothic. Fabulous!

In that case, do enjoy, HOBAC! No one does outrageous melodrama quite like Ms. Taylor. On a related note, I've been watching reruns of Dallas (the soap opera) lately. Last night's episode took place at the Oil Barons Ball. The hair! The sets! So unapologetically glamorous. Just divine.

mamacita - love the Dallas!

OMG - THAT trailer!! Too funny =
"leave the children .... at home!"

You know I wonder if all movies have trailers this bad?

How about my all time oldie favorite: Splendor in the Grass

What a tearjerker! And Beatty's not to shabby either.

CdT - I know! And incase one missed it, they say the name of the movie six times in less than three minutes! Ha!
Ah another great, Splendour in the Grass.
My favourite MC/ET movie Suddenly Last Summer.

Funny, I'd never heard of it. And now four minutes later, I think I'll never forget the name of the film.... that's marketing, anyway.

But my how times have changed.

The perversity of this film is undeniable. So humid one needs practically to shower afterward. And has La Liz ever looked more ravishing?

Ha! Oh yes, Cat on a Hot Tin Roof!
