Be thankful for small mercies...

Only the Dutch could come up with this. And, only I would think... at least he's not sticking his tongue out.

Now that's something I haven't heard many women say ;-}

I was born in Paris and Deyrolle was heaven to me. It was THE place for Christmas and birthday presents and I still have most of the things that were given to me.

Prior to Prince de Broglie's acquisition much of the truly fascinating pieces had already disappeared. It was sad to see. Thanks to him it has been preserved. Though, I doubt children now find it as fascinating as the previous generations.

Funny, but I had someone fishing for info this morning who mentioned he knew the mother of the current owner. Needless to say I was underwhelmed.

p-d — when it comes to preserving culture, no one does it like the French.

Too bad you can't have it custom printed. Now that would be a long list indeed!
