The future that never was

The future as it was seen through the camera lens of 1970s British television . It was not only bright, it was also camp. Camp as a row of tents, in fact. The then creative husband and wife team of Gerry Anderson and Sylvia Anderson of Thunderbirds fame were responsible for both Space:1999 and UFO.

Thanks for the shout-out on your blog...
I really enjoy your approach to design and style...
I'm also a big fan of retro visions of the future, grew up with the Thunderbirds in Britain and had a collection of the Dinky die-cast metal models...
Another great example of the future that never was is Disneyland and Walt Disney World's Tomorrowland...
All the best
