That was a great piece in the NYT — thanks. And what a charming photo (and butcher)! I can still remember the butcher whose shop was on the corner of our street a million years later. And when my favorite neighborhood grocery went out of business a few years ago I followed the butcher (who was another charmer and probably in his 70s at least) to a new grocery just to be able to see him and have him help me with my purchases.
Too Funny.
I wish I had a necklace of weenies too.
