Early 19th century, the rectangular top with turreted corners, hinged and opening to a baize-lined surface with corner wells, the conforming frieze raised on shell-carved cabriole legs ending in pad feet.

Each with a domed shell-carved crest over a mirrored backplate, the foliate base issuing a single scrolling brass candle arm, h. 17-3/4", w. 5-5/8", d. 6-1/2".

A mid 18th Century giltwood sea-phantasy pier glass. The architectural stipple textured frame with broken triangular pediment and central scallop shell above a sunken field re-entrant frame decorated with sea shells and a rope twist inner slip around a silvered plate of thin guage.
