The common


... but not lowly snowdrop, Galanthus nivalis, heralds the end of winter.



Anglesey Abbey, a former priory near Cambridge, is famous for its winter dell.



Galanthus S.Arnott and Galanthus elwesii, two of the larger more unusual varieties.

There was a huge glade of them outside of Tewkesbury Abbey.
