Kathleen Byron, the noted actress, dies at the age of 88. Her most memorable role was that of the deranged Sister Ruth in Powell and Pressburger’s Black Narcissus (1947). Sister Ruth is driven mad by her desire for the handsome Mr. Dean (played by David Farrar).
